ほっとイレブン / Hotto Eleven Cafe

このカフェは、三戸町の中心地から少し歩いた通りにあり、よく見ないと見過ごしてしまいそうなほどです。昔ながらの建物ですが、店内は改装され、静かにランチやコーヒーが楽しめる温かみのある空間になっています。

ほっとイレブンは、インド風スパイスカレーが名物で、単品でもセットでも注文できます。プラスセットには、オニオンスープ、好きなドリンク1杯、コーヒーゼリーのデザートが付きます。ドリンクは青森名産のりんごジュースやラッシー、チャイ等、カフェの定番メニューが揃っています。

スパイスカレーは、ハーブやスパイスの風味が際立つバランスの取れた味わいです。辛さの調節も可能なので、辛いものを食べ慣れている人は辛さを足すのがおすすめです。チャイはデザートと相性が良く、コーヒーゼリーは甘さと苦さのバランスが絶妙です。

カフェは静かで穏やかな雰囲気です。各テーブルには充電台と各種USBコードが用意されており、個人用のタブレット・スマホスタンドもあり、無料Wi-Fiも完備しています。本好きの方には、馬場のぼるの絵本が店内のあちこちに置かれています。馬場のぼるは三戸町出身の著名な絵本作家で、代表作は「１１ぴきのねこ」という絵本です。猫をモチーフにしたインテリアに囲まれながら、仕事をしたり、軽食をとったり、ほっと一息つくことができるカフェです。

Located on an unassuming street in a quaint little town, you’ll almost miss this cafe if you’re not looking closely. Upon first glance, the building seems to be a relic from the past, but certainly not without an old school charm. The interior has been renovated into a warm and welcoming space for a quiet lunch or a cup of coffee.

Hotto Eleven is best known for their Indian style spice curry, which can be ordered on its own or with a set meal. The ‘Plus’ set (pictured here) includes onion soup, one drink of choice, and a coffee jelly dessert. Drinks include specialty Aomori apple juice, lassi, chai, and other classic cafe fare.

The spice curry is not too strong, but still has pronounced flavors of the various herbs and spices. You can also adjust the spiciness level; we suggest going higher if you’re accustomed to eating spicy food. The chai (pictured here) pairs well with dessert and the coffee jelly has a refreshing balance between sweet and bitter.

The cafe is quiet and peaceful, there is a charging strip and various USB cords provided at each table, along with a tablet/phone stand for your personal use, and free Wi-Fi. If you’re feeling bookish, there are multiple picture books by Noboru Baba located around the cafe. Baba is a well-known manga and picture book author who was born and raised in Sannohe Town, his most famous works being picture books about 11 cats. Enjoy the cat themed decor while you get some work done, grab a light meal, or just settle into a cozy place to relax at Hotto Eleven Cafe.
